Forward Trust is a leading provider of substance misuse services in prisons and the community. We deliver psychosocial interventions and accredited treatment programmes for individuals entering prison who are identified as having drug or alcohol problems.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrator to provide comprehensive business administration support to our Substance Misuse Teams (SMS) across London.
As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our substance misuse services. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality interventions and treatment programmes by ensuring accurate administration, data collection, and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to the Substance Misuse Team.
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry, monitoring, and reporting, including collating statistical information.
- Supporting performance monitoring by contributing to and tracking service targets, including outcomes set by Forward Trust and commissioners.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with partner agencies (e.g., clinical substance misuse teams).
- Managing and maintaining large databases and associated administrative processes.
- Supporting colleagues across multiple sites when required (occasional travel to Heathrow IRC, HMP Brixton, or HMP Wormwood Scrubs).
- Upholding the values and ethos of Forward Trust, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
This is an on-site role as part of an administrative team, with flexibility to support other London region sites when needed.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Intermediate certification in Microsoft Office packages (or demonstrable equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 9 months’ experience providing administrative support within a large team, ideally in a pressured environment.
- Strong data management skills, with experience in drug and alcohol treatment data (e.g., NDTMS or similar systems).
- Proven ability to accurately collate and monitor statistical data, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining large databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, including drafting correspondence and supporting wider service needs.
