As a Recovery Worker, you’ll play a vital role within an integrated healthcare framework, supporting adults affected by drug and alcohol dependency. You’ll deliver client-centred treatment through both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches, helping service users achieve lasting change.
You’ll manage a caseload, deliver structured 1:1 and group interventions, and coordinate care with partner agencies in health, housing, and employment to ensure every client receives holistic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care plans.
- Deliver effective 1:1 sessions, group work, and structured treatment programmes.
- Provide harm reduction advice and coordinate with healthcare and community partners.
- Motivate and support clients to engage with their treatment and recovery goals.
- Manage and prioritise a caseload, meeting KPIs and service deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data (including NDTMS).
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety standards.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement.
About You
- Experience supporting people with substance misuse or related needs.
- Skilled in assessment, care planning, and motivational work.
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach with willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel when required.
