  • About The Role

  • As a Recovery Worker, you’ll play a vital role within an integrated healthcare framework, supporting adults affected by drug and alcohol dependency. You’ll deliver client-centred treatment through both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches, helping service users achieve lasting change.

    You’ll manage a caseload, deliver structured 1:1 and group interventions, and coordinate care with partner agencies in health, housing, and employment to ensure every client receives holistic support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care plans.
    • Deliver effective 1:1 sessions, group work, and structured treatment programmes.
    • Provide harm reduction advice and coordinate with healthcare and community partners.
    • Motivate and support clients to engage with their treatment and recovery goals.
    • Manage and prioritise a caseload, meeting KPIs and service deadlines.
    • Maintain accurate records, reports, and data (including NDTMS).
    • Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety standards.
    • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement.

    About You

    • Experience supporting people with substance misuse or related needs.
    • Skilled in assessment, care planning, and motivational work.
    • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
    • Flexible approach with willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel when required.
    • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
