We’re looking for a passionate Assessment Recovery Worker to join an integrated healthcare team in Sittingbourne on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), working with adults affected by drug and alcohol use.
This is a frontline, person-centred role where no two days are the same, you’ll be helping people move forward with their lives through structured support, practical guidance, and meaningful recovery planning.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out assessments, risk management plans, and SMART care plans
- Delivering 1:1 interventions and group work programmes
- Using motivational interviewing techniques to support change and engagement
- Providing harm reduction advice alongside abstinence-based recovery pathways
- Managing a busy caseload, prioritising needs and tracking progress
- Working closely with partners across housing, probation, healthcare, employment, and community services
- Supporting clients through a joined-up, holistic recovery journey
You’ll also play a key role in service outcomes, safeguarding, audits, and data recording, helping ensure high-quality, evidence-based support is consistently delivered.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in substance misuse services
- Confidence in assessment, care planning, and structured interventions
- Skilled in group facilitation and 1:1 key work
- Strong understanding of recovery, safeguarding, and harm reduction
- Good IT skills and ability to manage records accurately
- A collaborative, motivated approach to multi-agency working
